Hike
Hiking trails are many and varied including the Otter Trail, Tsitsikamma, Nature's Valley and Salt River hikes amongst others. You can also simply walk out of the door of the cottage and hike in any direction. The farm is in a very safe, rural part of The Crags. There is a mutual agreement between farmers that guests may walk on the neighbouring properties which boasts beautiful Fynbos trails. See Links and Nature's Valley Trust

Adventure Sports
Adventure Sports include Bungi Jumping, AfriCanyon River Adventures, Skydiving, Deep Sea fishing, Whale and Dolphin watching trips and organized drives and hikes through the Tsitsikamma forest. Canopy tours of the forest leave from Storms River Village.

Bird Watching
Bird Watching is extraordinary, with our famous Knysna Turaco (formerly known as the Knysna Loerie) being top of many birdwatchers' lists. Birds of prey abound, including hawks, forest buzzards and owls.  We also have blue cranes and herons.  Our birding list is growing and we gratefully accept contributions to this list from our guests. See Birdlife Plettenberg Bay for more.

Sports
Polo, scuba-diving, surfing, fishing, hiking, swimming, cycling, running, horse-riding and much more. Keep an eye on the Plett Tourism websites for forthcoming events - Plettenberg Bay Tourism, ShowMePlett and Plettenberg Bay Info

Culture and Entertainment

Plettenberg Bay, one of the most popular beachside resorts for local and international holidaymakers, is just 25 minutes away.  Sweetwater Farm Cottages are close enough to shop at Woolworths or Pick’n Pay, have a fabulous meal at one of our international quality restaurants, or hike on Robberg Nature’s Reserve.  We are, however, situated the perfect distance away, to have peace and quiet from the madding crowds!

Plett is home to the The Plett Fringe Festival in July, and the The Plett Music Festival in February.  In addition there are many shows on during the year, a cinema, great clubs, and live music.

Wildlife
The Crags is home to the Elephant Sanctuary, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, the cats of Tenikwa Sanctuary and now the latest, Jukani which has most of the big Cats as well as zebra and many other animals. All on your doorstep! You'll have to stay a while in order to see it all ….
